Important Information Concerning the VertiGONE Goggle

  • The VertiGONE Goggle is designed for single customer use only. The VertiGONE Goggle is not a substitute for medical advice or the attention of a physician. While the information offered here is intended to be of help to the user, this information in no way establishes a doctor-patient relationship between the user and VertiGONE, Inc.

  • Although BPPV may be correctly identified and treated, in some cases it may be a symptom of another underlying disease process. This often occurs in patients with hearing loss greater in one ear than in the other. If this is the situation in your case, or if the hearing level in one ear fluctuates, you may purchase and use the VertiGONE Goggle with the expected relief... but should also see a specialist (otologist or neurotologist). Underlying diseases with BPPV as a symptom can include Meniere's disease, autoimmune inner ear disease, acoustic neuroma tumor of the hearing nerve and infectious inner ear disease.

  • If your BPPV symptoms persist despite regularly undergoing the head positioning maneuver with the VertiGONE Goggle you should be evaluated by an ear specialist. Prolonged BPPV symptoms of 6 months or more must be evaluated by an ear specialist.

  • Patients who have limited motion of the neck should perform the maneuver with care. There is nothing inherently dangerous about the device or the maneuver. However, if your neck is forced through a maneuver that is uncomfortable, stop the maneuver and consult your physician.

  • If you have retinal detachment (physician diagnosed), you may use the VertiGONE Goggle but are advised not to use any vibrators. While there are no documented cases of retinal injury from use of the vibration with the goggle, this is a precautionary measure.

  • Product Returns: Products may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Before products are returned, a return clearance number and  the product return address must be obtained from VertiGONE Customer Support personnel. This return clearance number and product return address can be obtained by sending an e-mail message to CustomerSvc@vertigone.com requesting these items.
